Dear Tom,

When it rains my ’98 Hyundai Accent stutters and sometimes stalls. The check engine light comes on and, after some time, it seems to run fine. What’s going on?

Dear Tom,

There is a low coolant warning on my ’99 Jeep Grand Cherokee that won't go away even though I had the coolant serviced. Also, the carpet is wet and slimy on the front passenger floor. Any help would be appreciated.

Consumer's Beverages Celebrates 50th Anniversary of Genesee Cream Ale

Ten stores will host tastings of freshly brewed Genesee Cream Ale on draught

BUFFALO, NY – Celebrate Genesee Cream Ale’s 50th anniversary this Saturday, December 18 at Buffalo-area Consumer’s Beverages. To commemorate this half-century milestone, 10 select stores will have an anniversary tasting with Genesee Cream Ale on tap at the growler* filling stations.

The Genesee Brewing Company introduced Genesee Cream Ale in 1960. Commonly known as “Cream Ale,” the beer was innovative for its time. It was one of the first beers to blend the smoothness of a lager and the flavor of an ale, creating a new beer style in the industry. Fermented at higher temperatures, aged longer and brewed with a special top-fermenting yeast, Genesee's brewmasters take the extra step of kraesening, which produces natural carbonation, resulting in a true ale with an exceptionally smooth flavor.

Don't forget gifts for the people you work with every day

If you tip your barber or garbage collector at year's end, you're in the minority.

If you like to tip, here are some tips:

1. Give cash (you want to be sure that food gifts won't trigger an allergic reaction or violate a dietary restriction).

2. Employees who support your work shouldn't be left out.  Although they get a paycheck, their extra efforts to help you out in a pinch is worthy of a special year-end thank you.

3. A gift's value could be tied to one week's pay.

Here is short list of possible people to think about at year's end:

Cleaning person

Child's Teacher

Hairdresser

Pet-Care Provider

Lawn Crew

Mail carriers can't accept cash or checks, but they can accept gift cards of $20 or less.

Don't forget your special charity.
