Cheektowaga, N.Y. – Chason Affinity, developers of the innovative “Collegiate Village” student housing complex, and Villa Maria College, today filed a lawsuit against the New York State Division of Human Rights and its Commissioner Galen D. Kirkland in Erie County Supreme Court.

The developers and the College seek to set aside a 2008 agreement they believe is not valid, and clear the way for a $25 million effort to renovate and preserve up to 276 units of market rate housing, and provide affordable rents to families in the Kensington-Eggert neighborhood.

Amherst Chamber to Host Educational Workshop

The Amherst Chamber of Commerce and special guest Katherine Lucas of Emedia Studios will present the informative workshop “Creating Video that Works” on Friday, October 15, 2010 at Bryant & Stratton College’s new Amherst Campus, 3650 Millersport Highway.  Registration will start at 8:15 am and the workshop will begin promptly at 8:30 am.

“Creating Video that Works” is the third presentation in the Chamber’s fall series of educational workshops.  Lucas will provide examples of the various methods of using video for efficient and effective marketing.  While most people think that an expensive campaign is the best use of video, web based video used to educate, explain and of course sell, is growing in popularity.
