  • We Address Bullying with Celebrity, Not Expertise
  • We Forget that the Bullied And The Bully Are Both Children
  • We Turn A Blind Eye To Adult Bullying

Is 7 Years in Jail Enough Punishment for Having Sex with a Minor?

You may remember a case last year in Federal Court, where a Michigan woman was arrested and charged with crossing state lines to have sex with a minor. If not you can find that story from last year here.

In June of last year Jenkins, 35, was arrested in Amherst for continuing in relationship with a minor, 15 years old, that began online in October of 2009.  The relationship escalated from playing an online game to a relationship that involved sexually explicit, phone calls and emails. The minor tried to end the relationship but Jenkins decided to come to Buffalo and take the relationship into a physical relationship.

Children physical activities and parents participation

Children physical activities and parents participation
The writer has often mentioned in previous articles that parents could improve their physical health if they involved themselves with their children’s activities especially in Buffalo, New York.  Well now there is one more reason why parents should participate in outdoor activities with their child or children. Young children are being watched by adults that don’t have great intentions.  Almost everyday the news there seems to be news of a child being kidnapped.  Some of the children that have been kidnapped were enjoying one of their favorite pastimes such bicycling, and walking around in their neighborhoods

Tobacco: Why all the Fuss?

Tobacco: Why all the Fuss?

Tobacco has been in the news for a few months now, with the FDA releasing its new cigarette labels to big tobacco suing the FDA. Many people have seen the commercials and know that tobacco kills but choose to smoke anyways, so why all the fuss?

Many people have a hard time believing that tobacco is an addictive drug similar to cocaine or heroin. However nicotine, which is the addictive ingredient in tobacco, is one of the most widely abused drugs in the US. In a report from the US Department of Health it states:
