In addition to her strong faith, Audrey E. Bennett’s top priority in life was her family. It was only fitting then that a memorial fund was established and will support efforts designed to sustain and assure strong families.

On Monday, three grants were awarded from the Audrey E. Bennett Family Support Center Fund, with awards going to the Sweet Home Family Support Center, the Lancaster Family Support Center and the Boys & Girls Club of Buffalo and Erie County.

Robert Bennett and his children, Maurine Bennett Fatkowski and Andrew Bennett, expressed their deep appreciation for the many donors to the fund, which they hope will continue to grow.

Catholic Charities and the United Way also have been partners in the fund and were represented at Monday’s presentation.

Attending the announcement were the Bennett family; Ann Nowak, executive director, Sweet Home Family Support Center; Anthony Day, superintendent, Sweet Home Family Support Center; Ann Monin, executive director, Lancaster Family Support Center; Dennis Walczyk, president, Catholic Charities; Michael Wiener, president, United Way; and Diane Rowe, president, Boys & Girls Club.
