Evening in the Village to be held
Saturday in Williamsville
Williamsville’s Evening in the Village will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11. This year’s event, which celebrates “Main Street America,” will honor the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks with a moment of silence at 6 p.m.
Attendees can enjoy complimentary wine tastings from state wineries and food from various street vendors. Many of the shops and restaurants will offer specials and sales.
Three live bands will perform throughout the evening, and Hawk Creek Wildlife Center will have a station set up. Erie County Legislator Edward A. Rath III will meet with residents at the Williamsville Water Mill from 4 to 8 p.m.
In conjunction with the event, the Williamsville Fire Department will hold its annual open house with firehouse tours and demonstrations. There will also be a free trolley up and down Main Street.
