On November 30th at about 8:35 am, the Town of Amherst Police Department responded to a complaint of a residential burglary on Parkhaven Dr.  The victim stated that she returned home, entered through the garage and discovered an unknown suspect in her home.

 

The suspect was described as a black male, 6’1’’ 18­25 years old, with a medium build.  He was wearing a blue and white coat.  The suspect left the scene on foot.  A subject matching this description was located in the area by Amherst Police Detective Cathy Onions.  

 

The subject was detained and then identified as the burglar. The suspect, 25 year old  Michael Frierson of Buffalo was returned to Police Headquarters for processing and charged with Burglary in the 2nd degree.  

 

Frierson was arraigned by Amherst Town Justice Geoffrey Klein and remanded to the Erie County Holding Center in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $25,000 bond.
