Looking for the Identity of Two Suspects Who Used Stolen Credit Cards

The Amherst Police are looking for two suspects who purchased several items using stolen credit cards. The credit cards were stolen along with a purse on 11/22/2012 from a Niagara Falls Blvd store.

Both suspects are shown in the security footage.

Suspect #1 is described as a white male with a scruffy beard, wearing a black t-shirt, black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black baseball style cap and had at least one earring in his left ear.

Suspect #2 is a black male, short hair, wearing eyeglasses, white sweater with dark patterns and a black coat.

Suspects left the area in a light colored full sized sedan.

Two Men Fraudulently Charge $2500 on Business Account at Home Improvement Store

The Amherst Police are looking for two suspects who fraudulently charged over $2500 worth of goods from an Amherst home improvement store on 10/6/2012.     

At around 3:30 pm the two black male suspects made unauthorized purchases on a business account from a Tonawanda construction company.      

The suspects pictured in security images were driving a white Ford box truck, with white over orange colors on the cab of the truck.  The vehicle may have been an old U-Haul truck.

Amherst Burglary Suspect Arrested After Officer Stopped Taxi Cab

On 10/23/12 at approximately 6:04 am Town of Amherst Police Officers responded to Shenanigan’s Bar & Grill, 1009 Niagara Falls Blvd., to investigate a commercial burglar alarm activation. Upon arrival officers observed an open front window and that it appeared entry was gained into the bar. Officers conducted an interior check of the bar and found that the offender damaged the jukebox and stole an unspecified amount of cash. 

While checking the area for the offender Town of Tonawanda Police Officer Michelle Swanick observed a suspicious taxicab driving around in the area of the burglary. Officer Swanick made contact with the cab driver and observed that he had an individual in the vehicle with him. Lt Theodore DiNoto, Officer Corey Brown, and Officer John Rusch responded to assist and after interviewing the individual in the cab there were several noted inconsistencies in his statements including the false name he was providing to officers.  

Suspect Arrested in Larcenies from Gas & Convenience Stores

The Amherst Police Detectives arrested VAUGHN BURDETT age 43 from Buffalo, NY and charged him with larceny.  Burdett who was featured in an Amherst Police Youtube security video was arrested for several larcenies of over $400 worth of lighters at Amherst gas/convenience stations.  

Burdett is currently being held at the Erie County Holding Center on unrelated charges.

Larceny of $1,000 Worth of Clothing from Williamsville Store

The Amherst Police are investigating a larceny of clothing from a Williamsville clothing store. On 10/12/2012 around 7:00 pm four suspects entered the store and stole over $1,000 worth of clothing.

Suspects who are pictured in the security footage are described below:

Suspect #1:
Black female, younger, 5'0" tall about 120 lbs, wearing a long sleeve shirt with "PINK" and silver sequence on the front, black pants with a tan oversized purse. Hair was up in a pony tail, and the suspect had braces.

Suspect #2:
Black female, 5'7" tall also about 120 lbs, wearing what appears to be the same shirt as suspect #1. Long sleeve shirt with "PINK" and sliver sequence on the front, black pants, tall black boots. Suspect's hair was down and she carried an oversized black purse.

Suspect #3:

Amherst Police Search for Suspect who Damaged a Vehicle in Parking Lot

The Amherst Police are looking for the suspect pictured in the security photo.  On 9/14/2012 at around 10:20 am in a Sheridan Drive store parking exited the store and approached the victim’s vehicle and damaged the vehicle.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 50s early 60s.  He is approximately 5’10” tall.  The suspect left the area in a maroon/red sedan possibly a Chevrolet Impala.

Store Security Recovers Merchandise in Lot, Suspects Fled on Foot

The Amherst Police are looking for the identity of two shoplifters who stole over $1500 worth of merchandise from a Transit Road store on 09/20/2012.  At around 4:00 pm the two suspects ran out of the store with full shopping carts, store security was able to recover the stolen merchandise outside in the parking lot.  The two suspects then fled on foot.

Both suspects are pictured in the surveillance video.

Suspect 1:  Black male 6’1” tall and weighing around 180 lbs.  He was wearing a black New York Yankees baseball cap, black jacket, grey shirt, blue jeans and was wearing eyeglasses.

Suspect 2:  Black female large build, grey jacket, dark blue jeans and was carrying a silver purse.
