$500 Worth of Gift Cards Purchased with Stolen Credit Card from Amherst

The Amherst Police are looking for the suspect shown in the security videos. The victim left his wallet at a Maple Road restaurant on 5/30/2012. The older B/M suspect used one of the victim's credit cards at several area pharmacies where he purchased over $500.00 worth of gifts cards.

The suspect shown in the video appears to be an older B/M wearing blue short sleeve button down shirt, black pants and baseball cap. The suspect walks with a distinct limp.

Amherst Police Looking for Suspect Who Charged $1,000+ on Found Credit Card

Amherst Police are looking for three suspects who used a credit card which may have been left behind or dropped at a gas station in Williamsville on 6/1/2012.  The suspects used the card at several area stores making purchases totaling over $1,000.

Tips from the Public Help in Arrest of One Suspect

Acting on tips from the public, Amherst Police detectives were able to identify one of the suspects shown in the security photos that were posted on the APD Facebook page.

Detectives arrested Porscha Johnson, 23 from Buffalo, NY and charged her with Petit Larceny, a class A Misdemeanor.  The charge stems from a shoplifting on May 4, 2012 from a Transit Road store where Johnson and the other suspect loaded up a shopping cart with clothing, jewelry and perfume and exited the store without paying.

Amherst Police Arrest Two for Amherst Pharmacy Robbery

Town of Amherst Police Officers responded to Walgreens, 2970 Niagara Falls Blvd, on 05/24/12 at approximately 2105 hrs to investigate a report of a robbery that occurred at the pharmacy.  Victim provided a description of the offender (attempted to conceal identity with sunglasses, hat and scarf) and stated that the offender demanded narcotics from the pharmacist, however no weapon was displayed. The offender grabbed a quantity of narcotics and fled the store.

Amherst Police Looking for Thief Who Stole Money from Register

The Amherst Police are looking for a suspect who reached over the counter, opened the cash register drawer and stole money while the clerk stepped away from the counter for a moment.

This incident occurred at an Eggersvtille store on 5/14/2012. The suspect is pictured in the security video, he is described as a black male, 6'4" tall, 240 lbs. The suspect may have grey-ish facial hair. Suspect was wearing a baseball cap and white coat/sweatshirt with a distinct logo on the back.

Amherst Police Looking for Two Female Shoplifters

Amherst Police are looking for two female shoplifting suspects from a Transit Road department store.  On Friday May 4, 2012 around 9:30 pm the two female suspects who are pictured in the security video images, load up a shopping cart full of clothing, perfume and jewelry and exited the store without paying. 

Both female suspects left the store and got into a black Chevy Impala partial plate F--5046 and fled.

Tips from the Public Help Amherst Police Catch Two Who Stole from Store

Acting on tips from the public, Amherst Police detectives were able to identify both of the suspects shown in the security video which was posted on the APD Facebook page.

 Detectives arrested Lori A. Hasart, 30 and Katie M. Criswell 23 both from Lockport, NY.  Both were charged with Petit Larceny, a class A Misdemeanor.
