WNY Rocks ... and More!

Do you know why there is a coral reef in the rocks under WNY? Or why the Niagara Escarpment is one of ten unique biospheres in the world? Come and find out the answers during a fascinating program called "The Geology of Western New York," with geologist, Stan Radon, November 6, 2:00 PM at the Kenan Center, 433 Locust Street, Lockport. The program, which is part of the WNY Land Conservancy Speaker Series, will also include discussion of the formation of salt, oil and gas deposits, and the unique ecological conditions that have contributed to Niagara County's heritage and economy.
