Canterbury Woods, Western New York’s premier life care community, announced that it has received a deficiency-free survey from the New York State Department of Health for its Oxford Village skilled nursing unit, placing it in select company among nursing homes across the state.

Each year, the Department of Health surveys all nursing homes in New York State on more than 180 regulatory and quality standards, including administration, quality of care, resident rights and others. The standards must be met for each resident who resides in a nursing home’s care. For each standard in which a nursing home is found to be deficient, it will receive a citation.
