Carpet Cleaning Can Help Eliminate Allergy and Asthma Symptoms

After a long winter, everyone enjoys the arrival of spring and warmer temperatures. But for those with seasonal allergies, spring can also mean the return of symptoms such as sneezing, sniffling, shortness of breath, coughing and wheezing.

“While being around pollen is unavoidable, there are several ways to help reduce your exposure,” said Edmund Bedient, owner of Clear Choice Carpet Cleaning Services in West Seneca. If you suffer from allergies, consider the following:

A Rainy Spring, Plus Pets, is a Bad Combination for Carpets, Floors and Furniture

A Rainy Spring, Plus Pets, is a Bad Combination for Carpets, Floors and Furniture

It’s been a very rainy spring in Western New York, which is bad news for homeowners who also own pets. Yards with poor drainage are looking a lot like swampland these days, which means Fido’s paw prints can likely be found all over your once clean floors, carpets and furniture.

“We know it’s not the dog’s fault, but these can be difficult days for all the pet owners out there, especially those who like to keep a clean house,” said Edmund Bedient, owner of Clear Choice Carpet Cleaning Services in West Seneca. “Even when the sun does come out and the yard dries up, the damage has already been done, and all the brooms, mops and vacuum cleaners in the world aren’t going to bring back the look you’re looking for. Therefore, it’s time to call in a professional cleaning service.”

Following are some tips from Clear Choice for returning your home to its former glory:

Here are the realities behind five common solar myths, courtesy of Buffalo Solar Solutions Inc. and SolarWorld Americas:

“When your home suffers water damage, time matters and it’s important to take immediate action,” said Edmund Bedient, owner of Clear Choice Carpet Cleaning Services in West Seneca. “In order to prevent structural damage and mold growth, it’s important to act quickly and contact an experienced company with professional references and an outstanding reputation. This is no time to be scammed by a fly-by-night contractor.

Protect Yourself From Rising Utility Rates with Solar Energy

Protect Yourself From Rising Utility Rates with Solar Energy

When’s the last time you took a long look at your electric bill? Between rising service fees and delivery fees, you’ll quickly discover one cold, hard fact: To the electric company, you’re a “rate payer,” not a valued customer.

“Like any other corporation, utility companies are bound by their investors to do everything they can to maximize profits,” said Alicia Uebelhoer, co-owner of Buffalo Solar Solutions Inc. “They are more than happy with the fact that you don’t understand what you’re paying for. And they are even happier that you don’t realize the truth.”

The truth is, that in many cases, customers of the electric utility companies are paying more for the delivery of their electricity than they are for the electricity itself.
