AMHERST, NY - Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of an early morning apartment fire in Amherst.

The fire started around 4:00 a.m. in a four unit apartment building on Hedge Ct., off Campus Dr.

All units had some smoke damage, but the fire was contained to the bedroom where it started.

The Snyder fire chief says the cause appears to be electrical in nature.

Damage is estimated at $225,000.

Everyone made it out safely, but one person was treated for smoke inhalation.
