Filming Begins for Reality TV Show Based on Buffalo Warriors Basketball Team | News
Filming of a reality television show based on a new minor league basketball team — the Buffalo Warriors — and its owner, Ed Bednarz of Buffalo, began Monday at Antoinette’s on the Hill in West Seneca. The basketball team will make its debut in March 2013 as part of the expanding Premier Basketball League, and will play its home games at a Southtowns venue to be announced in the near future.
“I Bought a Basketball Team,” being filmed for television by Full Circle Studios of Buffalo, is expected to begin airing on a major cable television network in February 2013. The first taping focused on a meeting between Bednarz, who also owns the Buffalo-based ticketing company CLICKeTIX, and George Hasiotis, vice president and director of finance and communications for the Greater Buffalo Sports and Entertainment Complex, LLC.
The Buffalo Warriors made news last week by signing several experienced players to contracts, including 7’4” center Moussa Seck of Senegal, well-known recording artist TreVonn “Diego Trinidad” Campbell, Terence Dill, Jamal Nichols and Joshua Jones.
