AMHERST, N.Y. - April Scott had prepared to celebrate Christmas and her daughter Arabella Faith's first birthday with daddy away from home.

Army National Guardsman Julio Bottini had been in Kuwait for the better part of a year. He was coming home, but had to call and tell April that he was still in Mississippi, and wouldn't be home for a while longer.

Unknowing to April, Julio was home, and answered her Christmas wish by surprising her as she sat on Santa's lap at the Boulevard Mall.
