Amherst Players Present "Haunted Hamlet" | News
AMHERST, NY -- What do you get when you mix passion, murder, deceit, comedy, and the suspense of unknown heirs?
The Amherst Players, a not--for--profit community theatre group,will be performing "Haunted Hamlet", Steve Cross' modern take on Shakespeare's "Romeo & Juliet", "The Taming of the Shrew", and, of course, "Hamlet".
You are cordially invited to join us at Lady Capulet's House for hors d'oeuvres. A cash bar will be available, and matinees include a sweets table with a fabulous array of desserts, coffee, tea, and punch. Show dates and times are 7 p.m. Friday, March 1, 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, March 2, and 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, March 9 at Banchetti by Rizzo's, 550 North French Road in Amherst.
Additionally, there will be a 7 p.m. performance Friday, March 8 at The Forvm Maple Entertainment Complex, 4224 Maple Road in Amherst.
There will also be a special opportunity for students to see our final dress rehearsal for only $5 with ID. This performance will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 7 at The Forvm. All performances are directed by Joseph Thurn and Bethany Olczak, with Olczak also producing the comedic farce.
Tickets are $20 each, and a table of eight is $120, saving $5 per ticket and reserving seating. Call our box office at Lilypad Wedding and Events at 836--3820 to order tickets today!
