Laura's Critter Care, LLC Celebrates Professional Pet Sitters Week™ 2017

Local pet-sitting business joins professional pet sitters in 23rd annual worldwide celebration, March 5-11, 2017.

Laura's Critter Care, LLC encourages pet owners and pet lovers alike to celebrate the 23rd annual Professional Pet Sitters Week, March 5-11, 2017. Professional Pet Sitters Week™ (PPSW™) was introduced by Pet Sitters International (PSI) in 1995.

The goal of this international observance is to educate pet owners about the advantages of using professional pet sitters, as well as to encourage the public to learn more about professional pet sitting as a viable, rewarding career opportunity.

This year, Laura's Critter Care, LLC, a local professional pet-sitting business and member of PSI, is commemorating Professional Pet Sitters Week by donating 10% of this weeks profits to the SPCA serving Erie County.

“Laura's Critter Care, LLC is committed to providing the best quality pet-care services to our clients and is excited to celebrate this week that recognizes the pet-sitting industry on a global scale,” says Laura Stauffiger, Owner of Laura's Critter Care, LLC. “We want Western New York pet owners to understand the importance of selecting professional pet sitters for their pet-care needs.”

The pet-sitting industry has grown significantly, and it’s more important than ever before that pet owners understand how to select reliable pet-care providers.

“With the growth of the industry, it’s important for pet owners to seek out the services of professional pet sitters,” says Patti Moran, president of PSI.  “Professional pet sitters maintain insurance and bonding, provide proof of a clear criminal history and take advantage of continuing education to ensure they can offer the best possible care to clients’ pets.”

“These professional pet-sitting business owners and their staff sitters truly deserve recognition for the optimal pet care and tireless efforts they provide year-round,” adds Moran.

PSI is the world’s largest educational association for professional pet sitters. Since 1994, PSI’s membership has grown to nearly 7,000 independent professional pet-sitting businesses that service more than 700,000 pet-owning households each year.

Laura's Critter Care, LLC has been a member of PSI since 2010 and offers services to pet owners in the Western New York area.
