Cats are pretty self-sufficient creatures, but that doesn't mean you can leave your kitten alone while you go out of town. Even an overnight trip can be traumatic for a young kitten or a cat that is very closely bonded to you. You wouldn't leave a five-year-old child alone to fend for herself for days, leaving a couple of boxes of cookies out so she doesn't go hungry, so why would you leave your cat alone?

As a responsible cat owner, you have three choices for being sure your kitten stays healthy while you're away from home:

January is Train your Dog Month!

Dog owners should see how simple and fun training can be, and how patience, consistency and a deeper understanding of a dog’s behavior can lead to happier, healthier and harmonious households. This month the ADPT wants to promote training methods that are kind, gentle and have an emphasis on building a relationship with your dog.

Your local Certified Dog Trainer can offer you a selection of different training services

Private Dog Training Classes – Private lessons are suitable for dog owners who, due to time constraints or certain dog behavioral issues, do not find class training a viable option.

Group Training Courses – Dog Trainers offer a minimum of 11 different Dog Training group classes to meet the needs of you and your dog.
