The Pasta Peddler, Blackbird Sweets to Occupy Larger Hertel Avenue Location

The Pasta Peddler, Blackbird Sweets to Occupy Larger Hertel Avenue Location

The Pasta Peddler and Blackbird Sweets, two family owned businesses that operate side-by-side, will move to a larger location at 1547 Hertel Ave., Buffalo, in early August. The businesses currently operate in the Horsefeathers Building at 346 Connecticut St.

“Our businesses are growing, and as a result we have outgrown our current 650-square-foot operation,” said Eric Amodeo, co-owner of The Pasta Peddler. “Our new location will offer approximately 3,000 square feet of retail and production space. We also hope to add lunch and dinner service and an outdoor patio in the future.”

“Now that the weather appears to have finally changed for the better, we are able to open our patio, thereby expending our seating and giving us the ability to serve more customers,” said Lisa Galus, owner of the popular restaurant. Local Restaurant Week Spring 2014 Starts Monday!!

Local Restaurant Week Spring 2014 Starts Monday!!

Local Restaurant Week is a biannual event that celebrates the vital role our local independent restaurants and vendors play in contributing to Western New York’s cultural identity and regional economy. And that’s just for starters. For diners, it’s also an opportunity to sample new foods and experiences at our local independent restaurants. With Dining Features starting at just $20.14, diners have a great reason to skip the usual national chains and give local independent restaurants a try. Of course, the money diners spend at our locally owned independent restaurants stays right here in WNY and helps make our community stronger. Combine all those ingredients and Local Restaurant Week is truly “An Event of Gastronomical Proportions!”

Local Restaurant Week is the largest independent restaurant promotion in the country
