BUFFALO, NY - With the school year winding down its time to start securing your child’s plans for summer.  Join the YMCA on Saturday May 14 for our Passport to Summer Event and get a sneak peak of all that the YMCA has to offer this summer at camp!  With over 24 camps through Erie, Niagara, and Genesee counties there is bound to be a YMCA camp that is convenient for you.  From specialty camps like sports, gymnastics, arts, mountain biking, teen, and theater to overnight resident Camp Weona and traditional day camp, the Y has so much to offer your 3 - 15 year old.

At the FREE Passport to Summer Event you can register your child for camp and meet one-on-one with staff to address any questions you may have about our offerings.  Meanwhile your children will have a blast engaging in camp related activities like arts and crafts, sports, games, a bounce house and more!  Every child who attends will even be entered into a drawing to win a FREE week of camp.&

Kenmore Amputee Reaches Goal of Running 5K This Weekend

After months of training, amputee Kevin Degnan, resident of Kenmore, is excited to finally reach his goal to finish a 5K on Sunday, April 10 during the Shoes for Shelter Race at Forest Lawn Cemetery, where he once ran with his alma mater, Canisius College.  He will be running side by side with the very team who has been there with him throughout his rehabilitation, Kenmore Mercy Hospital’s AthletiCare.

What would Spring at Holiday Valley be without the Pond Skimming Spring Party on March 26! Pond Skimming competition registration starts at 11:00 and the skimming starts at 1:00. Also enjoy the music, cookout and a Margarita bar!

Prizes will be awarded to all pondskimmers. The top prizes will be awarded for best outfit, best skimmer, best crash and best child (age 16 and under).

All the action takes place at Yodeler...bring your friends, your lawn chair, sunglasses and swimmies...and be there!

A parking lot is available off of Saratoga Road behind the school
