Evolution Wearable Art Fashion Show April 6

On April 6, 2014, the Impact Artists Gallery is holding their premier fundraising event, “Evolution…Wear Art Meets Fashion”. This wearable art runway competition features 60 unique, one-of-kind, wearable art fashions created by local and national artists. Taking place at the Tonawanda Castle Tickets to this fashion event are $35 but why not go for the whole experience with the purchase of a VIP ticket for $75. VIP ticket includes preferred seating at the runway show and an after party complete with champagne, desserts, a "swag bag" and an opportunity to meet and great the artists, fashion designers and models in full costume.

All proceeds from this event go to support the Impact Artists Gallery, a non-profit organization that provides a venue for local artists to exhibit, sell, collaborate and learn. Impact, a supporter of WNY artist for over 20 years, is truly a "Great place to hang."

Two Buffalo-based menswear companies announce partnership to offer bespoke option

(Buffalo, NY) Bloodline Handmade, a bespoke men’s tailoring company that is headquartered in Amherst, New York, officially launched their menswear line tonight, with a ribbon cutting and unveiling at the Lexus Club located inside the First Niagara Center.  

At the event, Bloodline Handmade announced its partnership with the J Norman men’s shop located inside the Tony Walker Center in Williamsville, New York.  Bloodline Handmade will be the exclusive men’s suit line available in J Norman & Co., previously known as Tony Walker Men’s Shop.

Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum Hosts 10th Annual Victorian Tea

Step back in time to a period of refinement, elegance, and of course good social etiquette. The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum’s 10th Annual Victorian Tea is a wonderful way to enjoy food and friendship while learning more about this fascinating part of America’s past. This year’s program focuses on Victorian dance, with a special presentation and dance demonstration by the Victorian Dance Society of the Amherst Museum. Enjoy a traditional three-course tea including scones with cream, finger sandwiches, fresh fruits, and assorted desserts. Guests are invited to wear Victorian dress, hats, and bring their favorite tea cup to truly take part in this fun and unique event.

Is it time to part with that “stuff” you found from sprucing up, redecorating or planning to move? The Amherst Center for Senior Services would love to have your former treasures to sell at their “Flea Market,” a benefit sale at the Center, Friday, July 15, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

The Center will accept your saleable used goodies, excluding clothing, weekdays from Friday, July 8, through Thursday, July 14, between 8:30 – 4 p.m. each day.  Sale proceeds will benefit the Senior Center’s programs and services.

Then plan on attending this sale featuring anything and everything else you’ve always wanted to own! Admission is free and open to the public, so there’s no excuse not to drop by.
